You may have received an email with this in the subject line recently. So are you hiding from potential employers? We know that it’s not easy being a job seeker these days. That is why we want to make sure that you are getting the most exposure you can. Here are a few simple tips to be found by employers searching on America’s Job Exchange:
- Update Your Resume – I’m sure that you can find at least 30 minutes in your day to sit down and make some updates to your current resume. Have you acquired any skills recently? What about any new accomplishments or interests you may have? What is pertinent to your dream job that could set you apart from other job seekers?
- Upload Your Resume – If you haven’t already, post your updated resume to our Resume Database. If you don’t have a resume written, use our Resume Builder to create an online resume, step-by-step. Either way, having an online resume makes it so employers can actively search for you.
- Make sure your Resume is Active – Many job sites, including America’s Job Exchange, allow you to set your resume preferences to private so that employers cannot find you. Check your current settings to make sure that you have your preferences set right for your current situation.
No matter what, having an updated version of your online resume will help employers to find you and make applying to jobs online easier, whatever your current situation is. We hope that some of these tips will help you on the road to finding your dream job. Best Wishes! Amie Roemer Marketing Manager America’s Job Exchange
