What a fantastic Annual SHRM Conference this year. Even though clouds prevailed over San Diego for most of the time (known as “June Gloom” to the locals), there were many shining moments under the convention center roof.
There definitely was a buzz in the air this year, with the presence of more attendees than we saw in New Orleans last year. Another big change this year was AJE’s presence in the exhibit hall. AJE launched its first-ever booth on the floor to a flurry of fanfare. Employers from all around the country flocked to the AJE booth to learn more about our services and why we stand out in the market.
Looking over the foot-traffic numbers to our booth, we find that every 23 seconds, somebody asked for more information about AJE. Now that is an impressive stat that clearly shows the growing interest regarding AJE! Our unique job seeker audience and recruitment offerings seemed to stand out when employers stopped by to learn more about AJE. These employers were impressed with our considerable diversity, veteran, and female job seeker audiences. Plus, they clearly recognized our market-leading position in the OFCCP compliance services area. They knew about our legacy ties to America’s Job Bank, and how AJE has successfully stepped up as the successor to AJB. Also stopping by the booth were many current AJE clients – all with wide smiles on their faces, extending their gratitude for our recruitment and compliance services.
The positive reception that AJE received at the Annual SHRM Conference this year reinforces the idea that AJE truly is helping America get back to work. There is an obvious need in the market for AJE’s services. The demographics of our job seekers put AJE, as a national job board, in a league of its own. Several times during the conference, employers commented on this unprecedented position – wanting to know how they can reach our audience in the most effective way.
The Annual SHRM Conference in San Diego was a great success for AJE, and at one point towards the end of the conference, we could see the “tipping point” for AJE happening right before our very eyes. Employers saw what was happening too, and they rushed over to our booth to be part of the moment.
