On May 8, America’s Job Exchange (AJE) attended the New England Industry Liaison Group (NEILG) Veteran and Disability Services Meet and Greet in Woburn, Massachusetts. The event was designed to enable local Federal contractors to interact with representatives from state and local veteran and disability agencies in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Rhode Island. For contractors this was a welcome opportunity to get questions answered and engage representatives who can point them in the right direction for resources that can help them improve and support their talent management programs.
Newly appointed Boston OFCCP Director Rhonda Aubin-Smith attended the event and opened with a brief speech for attendees that encouraged them to make the most of today’s Meet and Greet. Rhonda emphasized the importance of utilizing the state and local resources available to help companies achieve OFCCP compliance. She also urged attendees to engage the wealth of hard-working and talented individuals within the Veteran population, all of them eager to get back to work. Attendees crowded the Career Center in Woburn, engaging in productive conversations with agency representatives and relishing the opportunity to meet OFCCP Director Aubin-Smith. The AJE team made the rounds, engaging the many agencies and organizations in attendance to make sure they were aware of the resources and benefits America’s Job Exchange has to offer. We also made certain attendees were aware of our upcoming May 24 webinar, “The OFCCP’s New Compliance Developments: What to Do to Get Your Organization Prepared.” AJE congratulates the NEILG for this excellent event. Undoubtedly attendees left feeling empowered confident with the knowledge that so many resources are available to help them achieve their goals. We look forward to attending future NEILG events and working with OFCCP Director Aubin-Smith.
