AJE President Outlines Outreach and Data Analysis Strategies for Compliance at the Arizona Compliance Conference

Rathin with John GarzaAmerica’s Job Exchange Founder and President, Rathin Sinha, was a featured speaker at the 16th Annual Compliance Conference in Phoenix, Arizona organized by Arizona ILG last week where he outlined revisions in the VEVRAA and Section 503 regulations announced by the OFCCP . He described in great detail, how AJE is enhancing its Internet recruitment outreach, reporting and data analysis capabilities to ensure that employers are successful in a compliance audit scenario under the new regulations.

More than a hundred compliance professionals, representing the who’s who of Arizona business community, the leadership of the OFCCP and EEOC, as well as consultants who attended this conference, applauded the solution by AJE that addresses the three critical obligations of a Federal contractor:

a. To follow a comprehensive recruitment outreach strategy to reach qualified candidates
b. To maintain proof of the recruitment outreach activities with details for individual jobs
c. To collect and analyze candidate flow results to meet hiring benchmarks or utilization goals

“While the regulations are complex, implementation burdensome and enforcement ‘inconsistent’”, Rathin emphasized, “the OFCCP is on the correct track of goal setting, data collection, and analysis, to make continuous and sustainable improvement in reaching the objectives of diversity and equality in the workforce”. He mentioned that this is not the time to get nervous about the regulations, but a time to evaluate internal preparedness and consider solutions from service providers such as America’s Job Exchange to get ready. “The regulations go into effect March 24, 2014, and now is the time for action and preparedness, not to become paralyzed by complexity”, he urged.

The two-day conference had a full agenda with several speakers covering a broad spectrum of experts from the private and public agencies. The highlight of the conference was the conferring of the “Lifetime Achievement award” to John Garza – the outgoing President of Arizona ILG and a familiar and influential leader of our Industry.

From all of us here at AJE, we would like to say “A hearty congratulations, John”.
